WCSD#1 School Board Meeting Notice

Dear West Side Families,
My name is Steve Burch, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of West Side Elementary. I am excited to join the Worland community and look forward to getting to know our students, families and staff.
I grew up in a small farming community in Idaho where I was fortunate to have teachers who truly cared about me. Education has always been part of my family, my dad, aunt and uncle were all educators, and one of the greatest influences in my life was my high school algebra teacher, who was also my wrestling and football coach. Those people helped shape who I am, and they inspired me to become an educator. My hope is that every student at West Side knows they have adults here who believe in them and help them discover what they're capable of.
While I'm new to West Side, I know I'm joining a school with a proud tradition. I don't have all the answers, but I do promise to listen, learn and work hard every day to serve your children and this community. I believe the best schools are bult on strong relationships, and I look forward to partnering with you to help our fourth and fifth grade students grow academically, socially and emotionally.
Please don't hesitate to introduce yourself if you see me at school or around town. I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to make this a wonderful year for our students.
Thank you for the warm welcome.
Sincerely,
Steve Burch
Principal
