Here is the December newsletter!
We celebrated our 67th day of learning today at all three elementary schools. That's right: it was day SIX - SEVEN! At West Side, the kids really got into dressing up, creating posters, and even doing difficult math problems with the theme of six-seven. As a staff, we chose to embrace the 6-7 mania rather than shut it down. Personally, I thought it was a pretty good day.

Today, we had 4 WHS students representing Skills USA come in and perform some community service in conjunction with our 5th graders. Together they created some fun Thanksgiving cards for some of our Worland residents. Enjoy the pics!

A Message to Our Washakie County School District #1 Families
We know that many families in our community are facing uncertainty with the recent news about SNAP benefits. Please remember that we are a community that supports one another.
Our top priority is ensuring that every student has access to nutritious meals so they can focus on learning. Even if you were not previously eligible, a change in family circumstances may qualify you for free or reduced-price school meals.
We encourage you to fill out an application today. The process is confidential and easy to complete.
• You can pick up an application at any school or the Central Office (1900 Howell Avenue)

Dear West Side Families,
As I'm sure your students continuously remind you, Halloween is coming! It is one of my favorite holidays, and Worland does such a great job of creating opportunities for safe trick-or-treating. For the elementaries, we want to celebrate with our kids as well, but we also want to honor October 31 as a learning day. For this reason, we ask that you send your students to school in regular clothing just like any school day. I'm sure Mr. Mortimer will agree with this as well! We would then ask that you would send your student's costume in a bag or in a backpack because we are definitely going to celebrate with classroom parties and a whole-school costume parade.
Again, we LOVE a good school celebration, but we also want our kids to give supreme effort in their learning activities especially during the morning. With your help, we know we can achieve both! Thanks for your help as always!
